By the time I had returned home, dog handlers had arrived and a little later a helicopter joined the search. By mid morning several members of the Cornish Rescue Team had kitted themselves up and started combing the woods and paths.
It appears that the lady suffers with a mental problem and she hadn't been taking her medication. Her husband, who is less than useless, didn't notice any change in the way she was acting, although several neighbours said that she had been behaving strangely for the last few days.

She was found around mid afternoon, about two miles away, on a cycle path leading to the coast. Still very distressed and in quite a mess.

I haven't heard any more other than she was taken to hospital to be checked over and to sort out her medication. I expect the paper shop will be able to fill in all the details tomorrow.

It's the County Show this weekend, so although good weather has been forecast, we can expect rain. It always rains for the Show.

Wow! A helicopter and dogs, if she was out of sorts before all of that, I can only imagine how she felt when they were added to the search!
What does the county show consist of?
Thankfully she was found safe and sound.
Our County Show has every thing. It's the main showcase for every thing town and country for this part of the South West.
Live stock, show jumping, heavy horses, farm machinery, country trades, dog shows, food halls, flower shows etc, etc, etc. Lots of stalls selling everything you can imagine, and traffic jams....... lots of traffic jams!
No more news on the missing lady, except that she is home now.
Ah, now I get it. Your County Show is very similar to our County 4-H Fairs...which culminate into the State Fairs. Does yours last an entire week?
Our county fairs are 1 week long, and the State Fairs are about 2 weeks, showcasing all the winners from the County Fair contests.
Hopefully your neighbor will get her meds regulated and feel somewhat better. How about you, how are you?
